Ministry - The best of...

Ministry is an American industrial metal band founded in 1981 by singer and only original member Al Jourgensen. In the beginning, the group was a fusion of the new wave and synthpop genres, changing styles in the mid-1980s to become one of the pioneering bands within the industrial metal subgenre. In 1992 they achieved worldwide recognition with the release of the album Psalm 69: The Way to Succeed and the Way to Suck Eggs, which went platinum and reached the top charts in several countries. They were pioneers in mixing electronic music with a high content of guitars and punk rock.

After 27 years of activity, Jourgensen terminated the band in 2008 stating that a future reunion would never occur. However, in August 2011, a reunion was announced when it was confirmed that the band would perform at the Wacken Open Air festival in August 2012. Ministry released a new album, Relapse, on March 23, 2012, which was promoted. with a world tour. Due to the death of the band’s longtime guitarist Mike Scaccia, Ministry released their final album, From Beer to Eternity, in September 2013.

Despite not releasing any news of new material, the band released the live album Last Tangle in Paris on July 8, 2014. Jourgensen also announced his intention to once again take Ministry on a world tour.
